Cosplay: The Boundary Pokemon

And now, for the grand finale of cosplay photo spamming: MY BADASS GIJINKA KYUREM. This time, a sexy back shot... with ass!

I said in my first uploaded picture of this cosplay that there were so many things to say about it, but that's because this represents an epic milestone for me in so many ways in terms of cosplay. It's the first time I've been able to construct a cosplay of this complexity in a short amount of time, it's the first time I've ever brought a character design of mine to life in costume form, the first time I've worn such a huge and cumbersome costume, but most of all, the first time I've felt like a sexy badass. >

Also as I mentioned previously, I was originally going to have a Reshiram and Zekrom to go along with this cosplay, but sadly they wouldn't have been able to have their costumes ready in time for Otakon. But, we are definitely determined to make this happen at Katsucon 2012! Our sexy Tao Trio is gonna take Katsucon by storm, mark my words. They won't know what hit them.

But yeah. Going further on the sexy badass thing, it was truly a joy to finally do a cosplay that had some sex appeal to it, given all I've done are rather modest cosplays up to this point. Songstress did expose some midriff and leg, but really only in a flirty way.

I mean, I'm finally getting to show some butt here! And you know what? I was perfectly okay with that. In fact, it felt friggin' wonderful! Because let me tell you, like all girls at some point in their lives, it took me a very long time to become comfortable with my body. A few years ago, I would have never considered doing a cosplay of this nature because I simply wouldn't have the confidence to do it, let alone get a picture of myself like this. Lately, though, I've definitely been gaining that confidence, to the point where all these dream cosplays I've had lined up for years I feel like I can finally make a reality.

With just this simple picture, though, that confidence has truly been solidified. When I saw this in Anna's Flickr, I think my mind went numb for that split second in amazement: it's that kind of photo you've always dreamt about but didn't know if it was possible. Lo' and behold, it was. If this was the last shot of Kyurem I'd ever have, I'd be completely satisfied.

Sexiness aside, I also absolutely love just how well it shows off the back of the cosplay, which has so much detail than the front in my opinion. You can see the spine very well, as well as the sides of the wings! This would have been a great way to show off the fact that the yellow parts actually light up, but alas, the lights that would have gone inside of them were the one thing I forgot to bring. DX
